Alberta to observe moment of silence for Queen’s passing Monday
Posted on: Sep 15, 2022In honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, the provincial government has declared Monday, September 19, a provincial day of mourning. There will be an outdoor ceremony at the Alberta legislature on Monday that will begin with a moment of silence at 10 a.m.
For students, faculty and staff who wish to view the ceremony, CUE will be showing a livestream of the ceremony in Tegler between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Please note that the university will remain open on Monday as usual.
