The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre warns of an increase in fraudulent actors seeking to exploit businesses, individuals, and institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Schemes include email phishing, fake telephone calls for assistance, and unproven treatments to “cure” COVID-19. Please contact local police if you think you are a victim of a fraud scheme.
