Dr. West is Professor of Pediatrics, Surgery, Medical Microbiology/Immunology and Laboratory Medicine/Pathology at the University of Alberta. She is a world leader in pediatric cardiac transplantation and transplant immunobiology. Her pioneering work on crossing ABO-barriers led to global impact on infant heart transplantation.

Tuesday (March 10, 2020) Indigenous Medicine Talk
We are excited to partner with the IKRC to host a student-led talk on Indigenous Medicinal practice and natural science. CUE’s own, Elvera Tremblay will be leading the talk. There will be an Elder available to answer further questions. There will be a FREE soup lunch to follow.

Wednesday (March 11, 2020) Pride Day with Pi(e)
We are celebrating Pi Day (March 14) early this year by giving out FREE pie at CUE’s Pride Day celebrations. Come grab a slice and take part in the festivities.

Thursday (March 12, 2020) Science Olympics
Our annual competition is back again! Join us for three events to test your skills, there will be prizes for the winners! We will be hosting a speed cabling event in honor of CUE’s new IT program, as well as a straw tower and newspaper house competition to test your knowledge of physics.

Friday (March 13, 2020) Chemistry Demonstration and Fishbowl Friday
Join us once again as Concordia’s own Bill Nye, Dr. John Woollard shows off some cool chemistry experiments. Stick around until the end, because this demonstration is sure to be sweet!
