Concordia Welcomes New Professor of French

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Joanna Merkel to the Faculty of Arts and the Department of Literature and Language as Assistant Professor of French and coordinator of Modern Languages, beginning this August. Dr. Merkel earned her PhD at the University of Tennessee and is also a graduate of the Université de Strasbourg and the Université d'Avignon et des Pays de Vaucluse, France. She brings to the position a solid background in teaching, research, and administration, and looks forward to developing some exciting new intitiatives in Modern Languages.
