This week we are saying farwell to our Intensive English Summer Program (IESP) students, who spent five weeks here learning English and Canadian culture, coming from France, Spain Taiwan, Venezuela and Turkey. The students had intensive English lessons in reading, writing, listening and speaking, and numerous cultural activities around Edmonton and in Alberta. It was good to have them with us, our new Concordia alumni!
Now we are preparing to welcome our new students from Japan and Turkey for the Canadian Summer Seminar (CSS) in August: a group of students from our partner university Tohoku Fukushi University, Sendai, Japan, and two faculty members will be joining us for lessons in English and Public Health, having an introduction to the Canadian Public Health scene, as well as experiencing the cultural activities in Edmonton and Alberta.
We are also preparing to welcome our new students, for the semester long, full time English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program starting in September. We are happy to announce that some of the spots have been claimed by the newcomers to our Canadian society.
Let's welcome them to the Concordia campus and community!
