Thunder Women’s Volleyball Drop Final Preseason Match

The Thunder Women's Volleyball team wrapped up their exhibition play this past Friday as they faced the NAIT Ooks in their gym. Playing against a very experienced team that plays an aggressive style, the Thunder struggled all night and were unable to get any rhythm going in any aspect of the game. Set scores were 25-12, 25-15 and 25-13. "We came out really flat at the start and mentally we struggled to stay engaged throughout the match," stated Coach Turner. "NAIT has a very good team and we felt this would be a good test for our team and we believe it was a good lesson for us as far as being ready right from the start. We want the ladies to learn from this match in regards to our communication and having to battle and fight for every point and I know we will."
The Thunder open up the regular season October 16th as they host the Keyano Huskies from Fort McMurray. Game time is 6:00 PM at the RKAC.
