Thunder Badminton Announces Recruit Class for 2015-16

Badminton Head Coach Kevin MacAlpine and Thunder Athletics are pleased to introduce the 2015-16 recruit class.
Takeisha Wang – Takeisha hails from Edmonton and is a graduate of Old Scona High School. Among her many athletic accomplishments, Takeisha competed in the recent 2015 Canada Winter Games where she was a Mixed Doubles Bronze Medalist and a Women’s Doubles Silver Medalist. At the 2015 Canadian Junior Nationals, she was a u19 Mixed Doubles Finalist, a u19 Girls Singles Semi-Finalist and a u19 Girls Doubles Semi-Finalist. Rounding out her impressive year, Takeisha was the Mixed Doubles Champ at the 2015 Alberta Junior Provincials. Coach MacAlpine is looking forward to seeing what Takeisha can do at the ACAC level.
Calvin Siu – Calvin is another Edmonton product and comes to Concordia by way of Ross Sheppard High School. "He is a very strong player that will help out (with) the depth of our men's team," stated Coach MacAlpine. "He is a great addition to the program!"
Amanda Cao – Amanda makes her way to the Thunder via Archbishop MacDonald High School and Coach MacAlpine has high hopes that Amanda will 'shore up the ranks' of the women's team that saw several accomplished players graduate this Spring.
