Thunder Women’s Basketball Adds Top-Flight Recruit for 2015-16

The Concordia Thunder Women's Basktball team is pleased to announce the addition of Ms. Sofia Lucadello to the team's 2015-16 line-up. Ms. Lucadello is currently attending Edmonton's St. Francis Xavier High School. Among her accomplishments, the 5'11" standout played on the 2012 provincial team in Sherbrooke and was the Metro Edmonton High School Girls's Premier MVP in 2013.
Thunder Head Coach Robbie Valpreda commented on the addition of Lucadello: "We are thrilled to have Sofia be a part of our Women's Basketball Program for the 2015-16 season. She has a great ability and talent to play the game on both the offensive and defensive end with a high basketball IQ. Sofia was our #1 recruit and having her commit to Concordia says a lot about our program and long term success. We're still young and our players are getting better everyday; adding a player such as Sofia provides our program with versatility and scoring. Again we are very excited to have her and look forward to building our program."
