Thinking Differently about Nutrition: Context Beyond Calories
Posted on: Mar 26, 2021Dr. Overend will share research from their recent book Shifting food facts: Dietary discourse in a post-truth culture. The presentation will examine changing nutrition paradigms and look at the limits of a strictly nutricentric approach to food and eating. In an age of increased food inequality, nutrition has to be understood as a loci of relations, embedded in the social contexts in which we live and eat.
