Why: To ensure members of the CUE community have the facts about COVID-19 and vaccines, and a platform to ask questions in order to make informed decisions.
Meet the Panelists:
- Deb Hemmerling
Dr. Deb Hemmerling is a virologist and a Biology Professor at Concordia University of Edmonton. Dr. Hemmerling will provide an introduction to viruses in plain language. - Carla Salvado
Dr. Carla Salvado is the Operations and Research Manager of the Li Ka Shing Institute of Virology at the University of Alberta. Dr. Salvado is an instructor at Concordia University of Edmonton, and will speak about COVID-19 and the COVID-19 vaccines. - Mulat Tegegne
Mulat Tegegne is a student in Concordia University of Edmonton’s after-degree in environmental health program, and will share his personal experience with COVID-19.
This event is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the extended community. We all have a role to play in keeping our community safe and we want to ensure you have the facts to make informed decisions.
Attendees who submit questions in advance for the panelists will be entered to win a prize courtesy of Concordia University of Edmonton. Questions are to be submitted using the registration form.
