A $5,000 one-time award to first year PsyD doctoral students who are academically accomplished, productive scholars, and future leaders in their field. To be eligible for a Doctoral Entrance Scholarship, recipients must:
- Be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or student with a valid study permit.
- Have an admission GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Present strong letters of support, a statement of interest/career objectives, research potential, clinical promise, and evidence of leadership and professionalism.
- Demonstrate an overall record of achievement that enhances CUE’s graduate student profile.
Application Procedures: Prospective PsyD applicants that are shortlisted for admission will be invited to submit a 250-word essay (1-page, double-spaced) addressing their career objectives, research potential, clinical promise, and evidence of leadership. Applications are evaluated by CUE’s Program Appeal Committee (PAC), rank ordered, and presented to the Scholarship and Awards Committee. The Doctoral Entrance Scholarship may be held in conjunction with other internal or external funding sources.
