Reminder: Sitting with Survivors Event on Sept. 27
Posted on: Sep 20, 2021As we prepare for our campus closure on September 30th, we encourage all members of the CUE community to pause and reflect on the history and realities of Indigenous communities today. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a time to listen to survivors and their families, remember all the children who never made it home and recognize the profound impacts of residential school on Indigenous families today.
Truth telling is critical in our journey towards healing and reconciliation. Join us virtually on Monday, September 27th at 11AM for a facilitated conversation about the history and legacy of residential schools with residential school survivor, Harold Cook and resolution support program manager, Rocky Ward.
