Ooks Sweep Thunder Women’s Volleyball

The Thunder Women's Volleyball team continued regular season play over the weekend as they faced a very good team from NAIT. Playing against a very experienced team, the ladies struggled with their first contact and the Ooks took advantage of that, winning in straight sets on Friday with scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-11. Tierra Pitt was the Thunder Player of the Match. On Saturday, the team played well in spurts but against a team that doesn't make errors, the ladies could not overcome their unforced errors and once again lost in three sets. Scores were 25-11, 25-17 and 25-20. Julia Heupel was selected as the Player of the Match for the Thunder.
The team will wrap up their season this upcoming weekend as they host a home double-header against the Grande Prairie Wolves. First serves go Friday night at 6 PM and Saturday afternoon at 1.
