Application Process
Applications are processed through ApplyAlberta. Visit the site to create an Alberta.ca account and complete your application. Here is a short tutorial explaining how to create an Alberta.ca account. You will also find instructional videos explaining how to complete the application while navigating the Apply Alberta pages.
Submit Application Documents
Applicable academic transcripts and documentation are due by the deadlines indicated in the academic calendar. Concordia University of Edmonton can request official transcripts on your behalf from institutions in Alberta that subscribe to the transcript request service through ApplyAlberta.

Application Assessment
Typically your application will take 4-6 weeks to process. An Admission Advisor may contact you by email or phone throughout the application process. Your prompt response lets us review your university application so that you can continue planning for your future.
Once all documents have been submitted and evaluated, CUE notifies applicants electronically via email of their admissibility.
To confirm your offer of admission and ensure that you do not lose your acceptance, you will need to accept your offer by the deadline indicated in your Offer of Acceptance by paying the required registration deposit (Please see 5.6 of the Academic Calendar for refund information)
As of January 22, 2024, a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) may be required to apply for a study permit. If you require a PAL, Concordia University of Edmonton will request one from the Province of Alberta once you have accepted your offer of admission and paid your registration deposit. Once your PAL is available, the university will send an email with the attached PAL to the email address you used on your application.

Apply for a Study Permit
Eligible international students are issued an Offer of Admission. For applicants that do not require a PAL, you will be issued your acceptance letter along with your IRCC Letter of Acceptance for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) . You can use these documents to apply for a study permit.
If you require a PAL, once you have confirmed your offer of admission and paid your registration deposit, Concordia University of Edmonton will request your Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) from the provincial government. Once your PAL has been received, we will issue your IRCC Letter of Acceptance for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as well as your Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL). Please use these documents to apply for your study permit. If you have any questions about applying for a study permit, contact the International Office at international@concordia.ab.ca.
