Advent Cantat! Concordia Concert Choir

The Concert Choir’s Christmas concert will feature Bach’s cantata Nun komm der Heiden Heiland, BWV 61 (Saviour of the Nations, Come), first performed in 1714 in Weimar, Germany, for the first Sunday in Advent, and now 301 years later in Edmonton on the same occasion. Other composers featured at this concert include Mozart, Biebl, and Daley. Soloists from the Concert Choir will be showcased and La Folia, Edmonton’s Baroque string ensemble, will also be joining the choir.

Tickets are $15 for Adults and $12 for Students and Seniors, and are available at Tix on the Square (tixonthesquare.ca or 780.420.1757), Concordia Student Accounts, or at the door. Special Family Admission: $40 (available at the door only).
