Dr. Barb van Ingen named new VP Student Life and Learning
Posted on: Feb 17, 2017This morning Concordia's Board of Governors approved a new vice president position in Student Life and Learning. President Dr. Tim Loreman has named Dr. Barb van Ingen to the post, which will formally commence on April 1 of 2017. The position of Dean of Students will cease to exist at that point.
Having Dr. van Ingen engaged at the senior administrative level in the President's Executive Council emphasizes the importance of our students at Concordia. It will assist senior administration to better meet the needs of all students, and provides an ever stronger focus on student success for the institution.
According to Concordia's president, Dr. Tim Loreman, "Dr. van Ingen has devoted much of her life to Concordia. She is an alumna who has served our students in many roles, including as a counselor, instructor, and administrator. She has always been available to help those who need her, and she has consistently put students first. I am proud to have her as a colleague and know that she will make an outstanding contribution to what is already an excellent senior administrative team."
Congratulations, Dr. van Ingen!
