This past weekend the Concordia Thunder Men's Hockey team opened up their ACAC regular season campaign vs the Keyano Huskies. On Friday night the Thunder dropped a 7-5 decision to the Huskies. Despite the loss the Thunder were able to score 5 power play goals including 2 from 3rd year Czech forward Filip Kejdana. On Saturday, the matinee match-up saw the Thunder fall to the Huskies once again by a score of 5 – 2, despite having an advantage on the shot clock (35-31). The game was tight until the very end when the Huskies added a couple of late goals to seal the victory.
This coming weekend, the Thunder will look to get into the win column vs the Red Deer College Kings. The puck drop on Friday at 8:15 PM at Glengarry Arena with the second half of the home and home series going at 7:00 PM Saturday evening down in Penhold.
