Interlibrary Loan

CUE students, faculty, and staff can request items not owned by CUE Library – this service is free.

Interlibrary loan items are available to CUE patrons for 3 weeks with the possibility of 1-2 renewals.

To place an interlibrary loan request, you can search for items in the library catalogue or use the Interlibrary Loan Request form.

CUE Library is able to fill interlibrary loan requests for:

  • articles
  • print books and other physical items (e.g., DVDs)
  • ebook chapters (not entire ebooks)
  • conference proceedings
  • theses and dissertations

For any questions regarding your interlibrary loan request, please contact library@concordia.ab.ca.

Concordia University of Edmonton Library reserves the right to cancel requests for items which require an undue amount of time or expense to fill.

Lending to Other Libraries

Interlibrary loans are available for 10 weeks and 1 renewal upon request. The following items are not available to borrow:

  • eBooks
  • eVideos
  • Local Loan
  • No Loan
  • Periodicals
  • Reserves
  • Reference

CUE Library uses Canada Post for interlibrary loans and Article Exchange for digital copies.
