Canada Iceland Foundation was created as a charitable body by a group of community leaders and organizations in the Icelandic Canadian Community in the late 1940s. Over the years, many families have memorialized family members with the establishment of scholarship funds in their names. Numerous scholarships have been created and many are open to all Canadians.
Applicants complete one general application, allowing the committee to consider them for any scholarships offered by the Canada Iceland Foundation. Applicants must submit transcripts, two reference letters, a personal letter listing extracurricular activities, interests, skills or work experiences, and any other information the applicant deems pertinent (for example, extenuating circumstances such as financial need or disabilities) Priority may be given to first time applicants.
