Will there be a convocation ceremony in May 2020?
Concordia University of Edmonton has made the extremely difficult decision to postpone our May 2020 convocation event in order to support distancing measures and help prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
Is there a new date set to celebrate the Class of 2020?
Yes—we are excited to announce that we will be celebrating all of our graduates from September 2019 to May 2021 on Saturday, May 29, 2021. We are looking forward to recognizing and celebrating all of our graduates’ achievements in what will be an unforgettable day.
Will I still graduate since convocation is postponed?
Yes. If you have completed your program requirements successfully, you will still graduate from Concordia University of Edmonton. We are proud of your accomplishments and wish you the best as you enter your next chapter.
I’m not sure if I have completed my program requirements and/or have questions about my eligibility for graduation. Who should I contact?

Do I need to wait until May 2021 to receive my degree/diploma/certificate?
No. You will receive a package in the mail containing your parchment, hood, cap, tassel, and honour cord (for those graduating with distinction or high distinction) at the end of May or beginning of June. This package will also contain information about joining the Alumni Association. Some restrictions may apply.
If fees, fines or additional charges are owed, Concordia University of Edmonton may withhold the graduates’ parchment and/or transcripts. You can pay these at Online Services.

I’ve already paid my graduation fee. Can I request a refund?
Graduation fees are charged for each credential. These fees cover the costs of graduation and will not be refunded.
