Concordia University of Edmonton is proud to be guided by our Elders Council on its path.
Pauline is a Metis woman of Swampy Cree, English, Scottish and Icelandic descent. Born and raised in Manitoba, she spent most of her adult life in Winnipeg, moving to Edmonton in 2006. Pauline is the mother of a son and daughter, and has three grandchildren.
As cultural and spiritual advisor at both Native Counselling Services of Alberta and Concordia University of Edmonton, Pauline draws upon over 25 years of learning Aboriginal cultural ways through numerous Elders in Manitoba and Alberta, as well as her experience as a facilitator of programs such as grief and losses, cultural awareness and family violence.
Pauline also serves as President of the Board of Interfaith Centre for Learning and Action, and is a Sun Dancer and pipe carrier. She enjoys sharing her knowledge when called upon in the community.
She also enjoys many hobbies such as sewing, beading, and is always open to learning new things or sharing her skills.
