There are about 22000 people studying in the 22 faculties of the Porto Alegre campus.

State University of Alagoas (Universidade Estadual de Alagoas (UNEAL)), in Brazil

The State University of Alagoas (UNEAL) is a higher education institution located in the state of Alagoas in Brazil. UNEAL was founded in 1970 and currently offers 25 undergraduate courses. UNEAL is the first university in the state of Alagoas, Brazil, to successfully graduate a full class of Indigenous students with an education degree, qualifying them as official teachers of the state. The university, and its president Professor Jairo José Campos da Costa, takes its mission of reconciliation with the Brazilian Indigenous peoples very seriously. Concordia’s partnership with UNEAL will see cooperation between the two universities on Indigenous matters.

Universidad Autonoma de Occidente

UAO is a private university, established in 1970. UAO has five faculties and 21 undergraduate programs (two of them by dual education system), 12 postgraduate and 7 master’s degree.
