Reopening CUE for the 2020-21 Academic Year

Student Relief Fund

A caring community

We are a community that cares. When times are difficult, we rise to the occasion and support one another, no matter the challenge.

A current and relevant new initiative

The CUE Student Relief Fund is a new initiative for current and incoming Concordia University of Edmonton students, which will be used to fund support bursaries to address the significant financial challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, including housing, transportation, and tuition, to create the conditions for our students to focus on their academic goals.

Community partnerships

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our “normal” and created a new reality that we are all adjusting to personally and professionally. In order to start helping students immediately, CUE has partnered with the Concordia Students’ Association and Graduate Students’ Association to donate $80,000.

However, we know the need will far exceed that amount. From concerns over being able to cover living expenses, to changes in or loss of employment, to supporting family members who may be ill or self-isolating, the need is significant and the challenges facing our students will continue to persist for many months to come.

Every little bit helps

Please consider contributing to the CUE Student Relief Fund to help support our students. A donation of even $10 or $20 per month (or the cost of one latte per week) will make a real, tangible impact on the life of a student who may not otherwise be able to start or continue their studies at CUE.

Thank you in advance for your generosity—together, we can ensure no student gets left behind.
