Student Experience Advisor Challenges First-Years to Ice Bucket Challenge

By Concordia on August 27, 2014 in Concordia News

Concordia’s Student Experience Advisor, Brett Farquarson, has taken on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, after being nominated by Concordia’s Alumni Association. On the steps of Schwermann Hall, Brett completed the chilling task and passed on the nomination to all first-year students.

The challenge generally requires nominees to complete the task in 24 hours. However, Brett is hoping first-year students will choose to participate throughout September, continuing to raise awareness and funds for those living with Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Students who accept Brett's nomination are encouraged to use the #ConcordiaYEG hashtag when sharing their videos through social media.

Remember, you can meet Brett at New Student Orientation Tuesday, September 2 from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Students can still register online.
