Tree Lighting Event!

This year to welcome the Christmas season, Concordia University College of Alberta is lighting up Ada Boulevard! Everyone from the Concordia family and community is invited to this first ever Tree Light-up Event on Saturday December 1, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Event Schedule

Kid craft centre – 2 to 3:30 p.m.
From coloring to cookie decorating, there is something for kids of all ages (or event just the kid in you).

Christmas service – 3:45 to 4:15 p.m.
Delivered by Concordia’s chaplain, Garry Dombrosky, who will welcome the Advent season.

Tree lighting ceremony – 4:15 to 4:30 p.m.
In front of Concorida’s oldest building – Schwermann Hall – is the 65 foot spruce tree we’ll bring to life with a new set of lights. We’ll provide the Coffee and hot chocolate to keep you warm!

Music and carols – 4:30 to 5 p.m.
