Two new Education faculty members!

Posted on: Jun 11, 2018

The Faculty of Education is pleased to announce the appointment of two new faculty members. Welcome to Dr. Muna Saleh and Dr. Lorin Yochim! They will be joining our Faculty on July 1.

Muna Saleh (PhD, Alberta 2018) recently completed her doctoral program in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. Her doctoral research was a multi-perspectival narrative inquiry alongside other Canadian Muslim mothers and daughters. Before graduate studies, Muna was an elementary and secondary school teacher and leader. For her future research, Muna is looking forward to narratively inquiring alongside other Muslim mothers of children with exceptionalities – particularly those with refugee experiences.

Lorin Yochim (PhD, Alberta, 2014) joins CUE after a three year stay at Beijing Normal University. Having worked with BNU to develop masters and doctoral programs, he looks forward to doing the same upon returning to Edmonton.  His doctoral work is in Theoretical, Cultural, & International Studies in Education, a specialization of the University of Alberta’s Department of Educational Policy Studies.
