The department of Social Sciences at Concordia University of Edmonton invites applications for a Sessional Instructor of Economics for the Winter 2017 semester.

ECO 101 – Introduction to Microeconomics:

This course covers: Economic analysis, problems, and policies with emphasis on the Canadian economy; consumers and firms in competitive and monopolistic markets; the distribution of income; the use of the environment; government economic policies.


  • A PhD or near completion of a PHD in a relevant discipline. The doctoral dissertation and publications should clearly focus on the candidates designated area of expertise;
  • University-level teaching experience; two to five years is preferred; and
  • A demonstrated ability to work collegially as a team member.
