Jenny Osorio has taught French and Spanish at different levels since 2009. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Studies from the Université de Montréal and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Alberta. While doing her undergraduate studies, she cofounded and worked for several years at Échange Interculturel Arriviére, an organization that aims to integrate newcomers into Canada, by having French conversation workshops and cultural activities. Her research interests focus on developing Second Language Acquisition reading strategies in the language classroom. She also works as a French instructor at the University of Alberta (Campus St.-Jean), where she cofounded the linguistic program Tandem UofA. Furthermore, she collaborates in different community projects, as well as developing a new Spanish curriculum and a new textbook for a Spanish institute.
