Sessional Instructor, Information Technology Law and Ethics

The Mihalcheon School of Management, Faculty of Management at Concordia University of Edmonton is currently looking for a sessional instructor to teach the following graduate level course for the Winter 2018 term (Jan. – Apr.). The course schedule has been set so the instructor must be able to accommodate the day and time noted with the respective course.

 

ISSM561A Information Technology Law and Ethics

Monday’s from 13:00-16:00

An overview of international and Canadian laws, legislation, and legal issues relevant to the information systems security profession. Topics covered include the legal protection of information and systems technology, as well as balancing the legal rights to privacy for users. Legal “due diligence” responsibilities of information security professionals are also discussed.

 

Note: This course is open only to students in the Master or Diploma of Information Systems Assurance Management program and the Master or Diploma of Information Systems Security Management program.

 

Education Level: The instructor must have at least Master’s level education.
